Analysis of the trends, scales and intensity of the riverbed deformations, their morphological typization and creation of their distribution and intensity maps are still urgent task. The main objectives of the investigations were analysis of the riverbeds deformations spatial distribution, tendencies and intensity in the Upper Dnister river basin. The methods of field investigations, cartometric analysis, statistical, graph-analytical, historic-geomorphologic analysis and synthesis, semi-stationary observations, satellite images decoding, geo-informational analysis were used. Due to the lack or deficiency of measured data on riverbed morphology and its dynamics some mediated and tangent information have been analysed by the mathematical methods. As the basic information for the researches the large-scale topographical maps, river channel cross-sections, Q=f(H) curves have been used. The trends and intensity of vertical deformations in the upper part of the Dnister River have been analysed and assessed. The upper Dnister catchment is zoned by tendencies, scales and intensity of the vertical river channels dynamics. The analysis results allowed to determine three groups of rivers: with relatively stable regime of river bed deformations, with unstable regime high riverbed deformations dynamics, and with very unstable regime and extreme development of erosion-accumulation processes in the riverbeds. Transformation of water and sediments runoff, scales and intensity of riverbed deformations development are the main factors of increasing risk of fluvial processes activation and destroying engineering constructions in the riverbeds.
